Arch-Eparchial Feast in Čirč

On August 22nd and 23rd, 2009 in the village of Čirč (the Stará Ľubovňa region), a traditional Arch-Eparchial feast took place, which was held in a little church on the Mariánska Hora hill, situated above the village, and in the Byzantine Church of the Most Holy Mother of God. This event included several religious services lead by the local priest Jaroslav Popovec, who is also the head of the Rusyn Brotherhood of St. John the Baptist.
