On August 18th – 23rd, 2009 the cultural-educational association “Ďura Kiš“ from the Rusyn village of Šid (the area of Vojvodina in Serba) invited the well-known folk group Barvinok from the village of Kamienka (the Stará Ľubovňa region) to give several performances. This group is lead by Martin Karaš, who is also the new chair of the World Forum of Rusyn Youth. On the last day of the stay, the group performed in the Rusyn village of Kocur in the Vojvodina area.
