At the beginning of the school summer holiday, the editorial office of Rusín and Ľudové noviny newspaper published four new Rusyn textbooks which complete a new series of textbooks for two types of elementary and secondary school: those with Rusyn as the language of education and those where Rusyn is taught; and take into consideration changes in Rusyn orthography valid from September 1st, 2005. The first two textbooks were written by published authors; Ján Hrib, a retired teacher, (Rusyn language for the 5th year of elementary schools), and Mgr. Štefan Suchý (Literary Education for the 5th year of elementary schools). The third book, entitled Rusyn Language Workbook for the 5th year of elementary schools, is by Mgr. Marek Gaj, a young teacher, one of the first graduates of the intensified course in Rusyn Language and Culture at the Pedagogical Faculty, University of Prešov. Furthermore, an interesting and a unique textbook Rusyn Language in Conversation for the second level of elementary schools and for secondary schools by PhDr. Kvetoslava Koporová (Slovak), PhDr. Anna Plišková, Ph.D. (Rusyn) and Mgr. Eva Eddy, Ph.D. (English) was published.
