On June 18th, 2009 at the second stage of the Alexander Dukhnovich Theatre in Prešov, an annual meeting of members of the Local Organisation of Rusyn Revival in Slovakia (LO RRS) in Prešov took place. The currect activities of LO RRS in Prešov were honoured and, after a heated discussion, in which the problem of the Russian (understand Rusyn) House in Prešov dominated, PhDr. Michal Kaliňák was elected the new Chairman. Furthermore, a 9-member committee was appointed. As the newly elected Chairman pointed out, the change in LO RRS should contribute to even more efficient work of Prešov and Sabinov Rusyns before the population census in 2011.
