On June 30th, 2009 in the boardroom of the Museum of Rusyn Culture in Prešov, a meeting of committee members of the Association of Rusyn Writers in Slovakia, lead by PhDr. Mikuláš Kseňák, was held. The chairman informed the members about tasks that lie ahead for the Association, especially with regard to the realisation of projects approved by the Slovak Ministry of Culture. One of the tasks is to organise a literary competition for Rusyn writers; whereby Jaroslav Sisák, the association’s deputy, was appointed the project’s warrantor. A literary seminar will also be organised and the following publications will be issued: Rusyn Literary Almanac 2009, Pieces of native soil (Жменї родной землї) by Міkuláš Kseňák, Chance or destiny (Нагода ці судьба) by Štefan Smolej and A bridge over the river of time (Міст над ріков часу) by Štefan Suchý.
