The story of Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup

In July and August 2009 in the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, a unique exhibition of a major series of pop-art from the complete portfolio Campbell´s Soup is presented, which was created by Andy Warhol in his typical screen-printing technique. The story started 47 years ago on July 9th, 1962, when Warhol’s canvases of Campbell’s soup were exhibited for the very first time. Together with his work Brillo Box, they are considered one of the most revolutionary works in the history of the 20th century.
