On December 1st, 2009, the members of the organisation Molody Rusyny (Young Rusyns) prepared a nice event “The 2nd meeting of Rusyns and their friends in Nitra” where, apart from a good atmosphere, music, singing and dancing, those in attendance could gain new information on the native people from Rusyn villages living far from their own homes. The main aim of the event was to gather a Rusyn community in Nitra, which, apart from meeting and presenting the Rusyn ethnic minority, would also, by means of various events, form and keep close contacts and, in doing so, its members could better help each other.
